Chris Hugh-Jones
Chris Hugh-Jones is the Managing Director of Equitas. Previously, Chris was a structured finance lawyer and banker, having worked in Melbourne for Herbert Smith Freehills, and in London for Barings, Credit Suisse and UBS. He has extensive experience in hedge funds and collective investment schemes, and a sophisticated understanding of the risks and capabilities of multi-asset class investing.
Jack Whittaker
Jack Whittaker is the General Counsel and Company Secretary of Equitas. Previously, Jack worked with Ashurt, one of Australia’s leading law firms, before moving in-house, where he has had an extensive career supporting private equity stakeholders. As well as being a corporate lawyer, Jack is a compliance, regulatory and risk management expert.
Rupert Hugh-Jones
Rupert is Director of Corporate Advisory and Partnerships. He is a corporate and government affairs leader with more than 30 years’ experience in financial services, aviation, pharmaceuticals, energy, and telecommunications. He helps facilitate high-value domestic and cross-border capital raisings, investments, and strategic partnerships, and has expertise in various government agencies and funding programs. Co-founding Australian corporate communications firm SenateSHJ, Rupert has held senior roles at Etihad Airways, Liberty Financial, and Sanofi, and is a registered Australian government lobbyist.
